In the scan results in Automatic Registry Cleanup mode, the software gives you the option of learning the context of a relevant bad entry by opening it in the registry editor. This is done very neatly: the relevant entry opens in a separate window above the scan results, allowing you the close the editor after making any changes and immediately return to the results of your scan.

The previous version of Reg Organizer would “freeze” for a period of time when generating the file extensions list in the Manual Registry Cleanup. This was caused by the large number of items in the list. This problem has now been repaired and a progress window added.

The interface has been optimized for the Microsoft Windows Classic theme. All Reg Organizer items are now displayed correctly and attractively in this theme.

Reg Organizer 5 has now been adapted for the new Microsoft Windows 7. The software includes new settings for this system in the fine-tuning mode that you can even use now. For example, you can add new menu commands “Copy to folder...” and “Move to folder...” to the Windows Explorer context menu, making manipulation of the file system much easier. Or, for example, you can turn off Secure Desktop mode switching, which disables the dark screen for UAC queries.

About 64-bit systems support
We receive a huge number of letters asking when we are going to introduce support for 64-bit systems. We can inform you that active work on a 64-bit version is currently underway, and a version for 64-bit systems will appear in an update in the near future.
