Suggestions on Full Uninstall 2.12

Post by TPC »

Would be nice if there was in the future versions an option to choose whether to use the original uninstaller of the software,
or full uninstall's traced applications without having to use the original uninstaller from the traced application first.
I trust Full Uninstall, and it does the removing faster..
And using Full Uninstall logs to uninstall the application is cooler, because many applications force open a web-page to the developers site
upon uninstalling their software, asking you to fill in comments for uninstalling their software... so bothering..

Application list view

System and Service components still show up on the applications list, no matter if you turn it on/off.. (atleast the latest windows updates do..)

Only "Show details" allows to remove entries in the logs, "View all traces" doesn't. Is this on purpose?
It's a bit confusing (actually most of the time.. :) )

Settings and exclusions

Another thing, which would be nice to have is..
When you look the traces of the program, you could right click on an directory/registry name and add it to scan exclusions list,
eg. windows tmp/prefetch and other such locations would show up there all the time.
At the moment you have to add these exclusions manually in Settings, and that is kinda impossible with the registry ones, files/folders is sorta easy..

Import & Export for the exclusions list. (Personally, my most wanted feature. ;)

Keep up the good work..
This is the best installation monitoring+uninstalling software on the market and gets better and better.

The "View all traces" link shows all currently available traces of the application found by Full Uninstall, and this data is not constant: some traces may disappear while some may be added during the application's life cycle (for example, history of the files opened by the application). On the other hand, the "Show details" link shows items which were traced during the installation of this application only. This data gathered only once and cannot be changed in the future by itself, only by user's choice.

This is planned and will be added.

For the present, to transfer the options relating to "where to trace changes" (located in Other functions -> Settings... -> Applications Uninstaller -> Changes Tracing) you may copy the below two files to the another system:

Folder:

C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\ChemTable Software\Full Uninstall

Files:

RegistrySnapshotSettings.xml
TrackFileSettings.xml
